Vice President of Safety, Training and Regulatory
Herman Crosson is the Vice President of Safety, Training and Regulatory for Patriot Rail and Ports, and is the Brigade Commander of the 59th Troop Command, a South Carolina Army National Guard unit specializing in Transportation, Maintenance, and Military Police operations. His career includes port and railroad operations, business development, management of multi-functional teams, military logistics, and regulatory compliance. For more than 30 years, Mr. Crosson’s leadership experience in the private and public sectors has given him a unique understanding of Safety, Logistics, Regulatory requirements, and Training in complex environments. He has developed an exceptional background in people and project management and a leadership philosophy based on communication and process improvement.
Mr. Crosson leads Patriot Rail and Ports’ sustainability efforts, striving for a cleaner environment and the efficient use of resources to make a better world for future generations. He served honorably in support of Operation Stabilization Force, Bosnia, and Operation Enduring Freedom, Kuwait. Mr. Crosson earned a Master’s of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, a Master’s of Business Administration from Liberty University, and Bachelor’s of Science in Liberal Arts from Excelsior University. Additionally, he is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College’s Intermediate Level Education and Advanced Officer Courses, which place emphasis on senior-level management, organizational theory, and international affairs.
