Katie Roller serves as Patriot Rail’s Chief External Affairs Officer, leading internal and external communications, public affairs strategy, stakeholder engagement and community relations. She previously served as Vice President of Public Affairs at Patriot Rail after joining the company in 2023 as Director of Public Affairs. Before joining Patriot Rail, Roller served as Director of Safety and Member Engagement for the American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA), where she managed operations, expanded safety training and certification programs, supported member relations and led the administration and execution of several federal safety-related grants.
Earlier in her career, Roller held various leadership and advocacy roles at CSX in public affairs, project impact mitigation, public safety, media relations and philanthropy for nearly 15 years. She has more than 20 years of experience in the transportation industry and has volunteered with Operation Lifesaver since 2007, helping drive safety training and messaging focused on motorist and pedestrian safety on and around railroad tracks.
A native of Florida, Roller holds a B.A. in Interpersonal Communication from West Virginia University and resides in Jacksonville, Fla.
