Mr. Thrall started his railroad career working for WSI in Burley, Idaho, in 1993 managing grain train loading and shipping operations. In 1994 Mr. Thrall accepted a position with Watco’s Eastern Idaho Railroad rail operations. In 1998, Mr. Thrall was promoted to a Trainmaster role. Because of Mr. Thrall’s understanding of management practices and finances, in 2003, helped him transition to General Manager over the Great Northwest Railroad and the Palouse River Coulee City Railroad. In 2006, Mr. Thrall accepted the position of Director of Operations for the West Region of Watco Companies and in 2010 was then promoted to Vice-President Operations supporting 500+ Team Members including managers for track services, car repair, locomotive repair, and train operations throughout the region. With Mr. Thrall’s operational experience accepted the role of VP of Business Development and has been involved in setting up numerous growth opportunities as they were leased, purchased, or operated by Watco Companies. In 2019 Mr. Thrall accepted a position with Patriot Rail serving as the Senior Vice President of Business Development for Patriot Rail.
