Robert Turnauckas joined Patriot Rail in January 2017 within the Business Development Department and now serves as Chief Commercial Officer for Patriot Rail. Mr. Turnauckas is responsible for all aspects of sales, marketing, yield management and strategic initiatives while leading a group of business development professionals across Patriot Rail’s rail and service network.
Prior to joining Patriot Rail, Mr. Turnauckas held the position of Chief Marketing and Communication Officer for The Southern California Regional Rail Authority (Metrolink). Metrolink is the nation’s 3rd largest commuter rail system with over 500 route miles servicing six Southern California Counties. Metrolink operated over 165-trains starts in the high-density greater Los Angeles area carrying over 40,000 passengers daily.
Mr. Turnauckas has taken his proven sales and customer service experience in enhancing relationships with existing customers and industry partners to successfully generate new strategic and organic growth opportunities for Patriot Rail. He brings over 25 years of sales and marketing leadership experience with a strong emphasis on customer service, having held key customer relationship positions at other well-known firms including Ritz-Carlton Resorts and Marriott Hotels.
