JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Feb. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Patriot Rail Company LLC (“Patriot”), a leading operator of short line and regional freight railroads, today announced the promotion of Jennifer G. Whiteman to Chief Financial Officer, as well as the addition of Justin T. Broyles as Vice President, Sales.
Whiteman brings over 15 years of experience in finance and accounting with both private and public rail transportation companies, focusing on the areas of financial reporting, strategic planning and budgeting, working capital, debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions and oversight of information systems and internal audit functions.
Prior to arriving at Patriot Rail, Whiteman held a number of finance and accounting leadership positions at RailAmerica Inc., including Assistant Vice President, Assistant Controller where she was responsible for the management of various finance and accounting functions. In Whiteman’s most recent position as Vice President, Finance and Accounting for Patriot, she successfully led the corporate centralization of the finance and accounting groups, while simultaneously spearheading a corporate-wide SAP implementation.
Whiteman graduated from the University of Florida at Gainesville with her Masters of Accounting and received her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Flagler College. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

In addition to Whiteman’s promotion, Patriot has named Justin T. Broyles Vice President, Sales. Broyles brings over 14 years’ experience in the rail transportation industry. His expertise includes creating and implementing innovative sales and marketing strategies, customer relationship management, and effective sales training.
Previously, Broyles held a number of business development positions at R. J. Corman Railroad Group, LLC. Most recently, Broyles served as Assistant Vice President, Sales & Marketing. In this position, he successfully led the strategic sales efforts for all R. J. Corman companies.
Broyles received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University.
